What If We Believe?

Take a deep breathe, relax, and truly think about a few things  you say that you BELIEVE.

Healthy Body

Healthy Mind

Healthy in Spirit (Higher Being)

When we take the time to slow down and meditate on our beliefs, we will be happier, joyful, and successful, in the things we choose.  We must keep our lives simple.  Examine your thoughts on exercise and eating healthy. How can you change your mindset? What is one hour a day exercising verses 13 different medications, or possibly 4 or more surgeries in a lifetime? You tolerate pain and discomfort for months, maybe years, when exercising 30 minutes to 1 hour daily, can eliminate the cause of many of these problems if not all of them.  This is not new information; you just don’t believe the above could possibly happen to you.  Walking, choosing a sport of your choice, jogging, working with a trainer, group aerobics, swimming just to name a few, are all within the scope of probability as life-changing interventions. “The more we see health as a practice rather than a problem to fix, the more we encourage the body’s natural potential to be healthy,” – Aarti Patel

Have you noticed the gradual deterioration of our minds at a younger age?  It’s not old age anymore. What if we believe that reading more, communicating verbally with others, being socially involved outside our normal circle of family and friends, helps to keep the brain alert, and actively engaged.  I’m not a doctor of any kind but these are things we have been taught or persuaded to believe. Our poor eating habits and lack of exercise can contribute to poor brain function. How are you on face recognition, five names within a new surrounding, telephone numbers? We depend on these things being stored in our phones.  They say knowledge is power. What are your resources and when have you shared that knowledge? Remember this phrase, “the mind is a terrible thing to waste.”  I believe.

What is healthy in spirit? Spirituality involves the recognition of a feeling, or sense of belief that there is something greater than you.  If you were to ask them, most people believe in a Higher Being.  Now this is the twist, they (we), I will include myself, do not live on this belief system consistently. I’m not going to focus on  other well-known religions because I do believe we all have common practices to live respectful lifestyles. For the sake of this blog, I am speaking about just a few Christian principles.  God gives wisdom to those that ask,  James 1:5.  What would my work, my life, look like if I believed this? Believe you have received what you have asked for in prayer, Mark 11:12.  Would you pray and cast your worries away?  He will meet ALL your NEEDS, Matthew 6:26.  Let’s be clear, just like anything else there are principles of work to be done.  Isn’t it worth looking deeper into these beliefs to have a richer more abundant life? What if we believe that resources at hand would steer us toward getting and maintaining a healthy spirit?  Well, we all have access to the vault of a wealth of knowledge to obtain and sustain a meaningful life and how to structure it.

Why is it that we believe more on things like the lottery and other get rich quick schemes?  How and why did we buy into things such as chance, luck, even karma?

Think about this:  What you think about you bring about.

  •  What you think about you bring about
  •  Education is never out for the pros
  •  Practice makes perfect
  •  Knowledge is what you know, wisdom is what you do with what you know
  •  Believe that every challenge or obstacle is a wonderful learning opportunity
  • Believe you are in the right place at the right time to receive all that is good

WHAT IF WE BELIEVE????
