Know When to Move On

Have you ever had that tugging persistent thought, “should I stay, or should I go?” Deep in your subconscious you know it is time to move on, whether it is business or a relationship. They both will show some of the same indicators.

Business

  • Feeling stuck or stagnant. You should feel challenged to be your best.
  • Feeling out of place. Your expressed ideas are way out of the box and peers do not understand your views. This causes you to avoid being authentic in the future.
  • Negative energy
  • Missed opportunities due to loyalty. Invites by LinkedIn, ask to join, and collaborate with other entrepreneurs

Relationships

  • No longer share the same vision
  • Does not support your vision
  • Downplay your success
  • Critical of your work
  • Excuse maker
  • Tries to change you

Both above instances can lead to:

  • Depression
  • Loss of self-identity
  • Isolation of associates, friends, and family

Always trust your instinct, it is there to lead you in the right direction. Know your purpose in life and do what is necessary to enhance your skills and knowledge. Know that good relationships give sound advice, tells you the truth in love, and refines you. Yes, there will be peaks and valleys but pray to discern the difference between right and wrong. This will allow you to know when to move on.
